Soccer Unity Project - Boston Marathon Fundraising Page

This year, Soccer Unity Project is honored to be represented in the Boston Marathon by Crystal Collier, Maria Fernandes-Dominique, Shirley Carrington and Megan Doe.

By taking on one of the world’s most iconic races, these runners are helping expand access, equity, and opportunity for young people across Boston. The money they raise will ensure that over 1,500 youth ages 3-19 have access to high quality free soccer programming here in the City of Boston!

WHY ARE YOU RUNNING:

Maria --

“I am proud to run the 2026 Boston Marathon in support of Soccer Unity Project (SUP) because I strongly align with SUP’s work of centering community, connection, and equity as the values that unite and strengthen our city through sport.”

Megan -

“Having experienced the formative impact of youth soccer, I am running the Boston Marathon to help expand equitable access to the sport and the incredible community that the Soccer Unity Project is growing in Boston.”

Crystal -

"As an educator, mother, and author, I believe deeply in the power of community to shape lives. I’m running the Boston Marathon for Soccer Unity Project because in a world that often feels divided and heavy, SUP brings children and families together across differences, creating belonging, joy, and hope through sport, and reminding us that even in dark moments, connection can be a powerful light."

Shirley -

"I’m excited to run for Soccer Unity Project because it uses the power of soccer to break down barriers, build community across diverse backgrounds, and promote equity and inclusive access to the game for youth in Boston."

IMPACT OF YOUR GIFT:

Every mile they run helps ensure that all children—regardless of background or ability—have the chance to play, belong, and thrive through soccer. Thank you for supporting their journey and investing in a more inclusive future for youth sports.
