Join us at Long Live Brewery in Roxbury for a fun-filled night as we support Soccer Unity Project! John Moran Launched in 2022, Soccer Unity Project grew from over 14 years of equitable, inclusive and successful soccer programs and events in the City of Boston. Soccer Unity Project was born out of a two-year strategic planning process that identified the incredible potential of joining South End Soccer, Boston Unity Cup, and additional programming in order to deepen the impact of soccer. Every year, Soccer Unity Project serves over 1,400 youth ages 3-19 through our various programs. All of our programs are completely free for all youth and families, helping us to eliminate the price tag on soccer that has made it more expensive on average than football, basketball and baseball for families. In 2024, due to state budget cuts, Soccer Unity Project has unexpectedly lost $40,000 of committed revenue during the first quarter of the year. We are so honored to have been nominated for a 2025 earmark, but those funds are not available to us until next year. This loss in committed funding for 2024 has impacted the level of programming that we can offer this Spring and Summer, as it most directly impacts the cost of coaches and staff. Proceeds raised from this event will directly support our programming costs that continue to increase to meet the demand of the community.
